Maintenance & Care Plans

Always on. Always cared for.

A website is a living asset. It needs steady, scheduled attention to stay fast, secure, and visible. Our care plans handle the ongoing work — quietly, monthly, in the background — so the site you launched stays the site you intended.

01 — What’s Included

Every plan. Every month.
No surprises.

A maintenance plan is not a line on an invoice — it is the difference between a site that quietly degrades and one that keeps working for you, month after month, without drama.

Every plan we offer includes the following core services, delivered on a predictable monthly cycle, with a written report at the end of every cycle.

N° 01

WordPress core & plugin updates

Patching

WordPress releases security patches, feature updates, and bug fixes regularly — and so do the plugins your site depends on. We apply these updates on a managed schedule, testing for compatibility before anything goes live. No more outdated plugins sitting in your dashboard for months, quietly accumulating vulnerabilities. We keep a written changelog of every update so you have a clear record of what changed, when, and why.

N° 02

Daily backups & restore capability

Recovery

Full daily backups of your database and file system, stored off-site in a separate location from your hosting provider. If something goes wrong — a bad update, a compromised file, an accidental deletion — we can restore your site to a known-good state within hours, not days. Backups are retained on a rolling schedule so you always have recent recovery points. Peace of mind, built quietly into the plan.

N° 03

Uptime monitoring

Watch

Your site is monitored around the clock for downtime, slow response times, and server-level issues. If something goes offline, we are alerted immediately — often before you or your customers notice. Monitoring runs from multiple geographic checkpoints so a single regional outage does not cause a false alarm, and every incident is investigated by a person, not just logged in a dashboard somewhere to be ignored.

N° 04

Security baseline monitoring

Defence

We monitor for the issues that account for the vast majority of small-business website compromises: file-integrity changes, known malware signatures, login-page brute-force attempts, suspicious admin behaviour, and outdated software flagged in vulnerability databases. This is not a full-time security operations centre — it is a sensible, proportionate baseline that catches the threats that actually reach sites your size. When something triggers, we investigate and resolve it, then report back in plain language.

N° 05

SSL renewal & management

Trust

SSL certificates need to be renewed before they expire, and renewal failures can take a site offline or trigger browser security warnings that scare visitors away on the day they were ready to buy. We manage the renewal lifecycle end to end — monitoring expiration dates, triggering renewals, verifying correct installation, and confirming the site loads cleanly over HTTPS with no mixed-content warnings. One less thing on your calendar that can quietly fail at the worst possible moment.

N° 06

Small content edits

In-scope hours

Every plan includes a set number of hours each month for minor content updates. A new phone number, a new team member added to the about page, a seasonal banner swapped, a typo corrected, a price refreshed, a holiday hours notice posted. These small tasks are covered within your plan — no separate quotes, no minimum-charge friction, no back-and-forth to authorise twenty minutes of work. Send us an email and we handle it. Larger changes that fall outside the included hours are quoted separately before any work begins.

N° 07

Monthly written health report

Reporting

At the close of every month, you receive a written report. It covers what was updated, what was monitored, any incidents that occurred, how they were resolved, your uptime percentage, your average response time, and any recommendations for the month ahead. The report is written in plain English, by a person who actually maintains your site — not auto-generated by a dashboard tool. It should take five minutes to read and leave you knowing exactly where the site stands. If a decision is required from you, it is flagged at the top.

02 — Our Approach

Proactive care.
Not emergency repairs.

Most website problems are preventable. The trick is catching them early, on a regular schedule, with someone who understands the system well enough to act before things break — not after they already have.

i

Prevention over reaction

The cost of fixing a hacked site, recovering lost data, or debugging a broken plugin conflict is always higher than the cost of preventing those problems in the first place. Scheduled, documented care is cheaper and less disruptive than an emergency response in the middle of a campaign. Every update is tested before deployment. Every backup is verified. Every alert is read by a person.

ii

Reports you can actually read

The monthly report is written, not auto-generated. It tells you what happened, what we did, and what — if anything — needs your attention. No twenty-tab spreadsheet, no alert dump, no graphs without captions. We have read enough of those to know they bury the signal. If your site had a quiet month, the report says so plainly and is short. If something needs a decision, it is the first thing on the page.

iii

One contact, who knows your site

When you have a question or need a small change, you contact the same team that actually maintains the site. There are no ticket queues and no rotating support agents who need to re-learn your setup every time. Your account has a dedicated point of contact who already knows your architecture, your hosting, your plugin set, and your business context — and who answers from someone who has read the codebase.

iv

Honest scope and boundaries

The plan covers updates, backups, monitoring, the security baseline, SSL management, small content edits, and the monthly report. It does not cover full redesigns, new feature builds, major plugin integrations, or large content overhauls. If a request falls outside the plan, we say so before we start, and we provide a separate quote if you would like us to handle it. No surprise invoices, no ambiguous line items, no bait-and-switch.

03 — Who It’s For

For owners who’d
rather not babysit.

Care plans are for businesses where the website matters but in-house technical capacity is limited. The work is genuinely small, individually — but the sum of it, neglected for a year, is how sites quietly stop working.

Our care-plan clients are usually a few shapes — and the work looks similar across all of them.

  • i Owners of recently-launched sitesYou invested in a new site and want to protect that investment. A site that was fast and secure at launch will not stay that way without ongoing attention — updates pile up, hosting environments shift, and new vulnerabilities emerge regularly.
  • ii Lead-generating businessesYour site actively drives phone calls, form submissions, or e-commerce orders. Even a few hours of unexpected downtime translates into real lost revenue. Monitoring and proactive maintenance reduce that risk to a level you can plan around.
  • iii Owners burned by a previous emergencyA plugin update broke a checkout page. An SSL expired over a long weekend and Google flagged the site as insecure. A care plan is how those situations stop repeating — by removing the conditions that allow them to happen in the first place.
  • iv Operators who want one accountable vendorInstead of phoning a freelancer you last spoke to six months ago and hoping they remember the build, you have a team that already knows the site, the hosting, the integrations, and the business context. Less repetition. Faster resolution.
  • v Small teams stretched thinOne to five people running the business, the marketing, the operations, and somehow the website too. A care plan removes the maintenance work from a list that is already too long, at a fraction of the cost of hiring someone in-house.

A care plan is not a luxury — it is the operational baseline for any business whose website is more than a brochure. The cost is predictable, the scope is clear, and the result is a site that quietly works, month after month, while you spend your time on the work that grows the business.

04 — A second complimentary report

Wondering why your site feels slow?

Send us your URL. We’ll send back a Premium Performance Report within 48 hours — page speed, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and a prioritised fix list ranked by impact on rankings and conversion.

No sales call required.

A launch is the loud moment. Care is the quiet competence that decides whether the site is still worth having a year later.

What clients
ask about care.

If a question is missing here, the contact link at the foot of the page goes straight to the person who would answer it. No ticket queues, no funnels.

i What exactly is included in a care plan?
Every plan includes WordPress core and plugin updates on a managed schedule, daily off-site backups with verified restore capability, uptime and response-time monitoring, security baseline monitoring, SSL certificate management, a written monthly health report, and a set number of hours for small content edits. The specifics — particularly the number of included content-edit hours — vary by plan tier. We will walk you through the options during your initial consultation so you can choose the level that matches your site’s actual needs rather than a notional bundle.
ii What is your response time if something breaks?
For critical issues — site offline, suspected security breach, checkout failure — we respond the same business day, typically within a few hours. For non-critical requests like content edits or minor adjustments, our standard turnaround is one to two business days. If a site goes down at 2 a.m. on a weekday, our monitoring catches it and we begin investigating before you wake up. We do not offer formal 24/7 on-call coverage as part of the standard care plan — that is a separate engagement — but the monitoring systems themselves operate around the clock and a person reads the alerts.
iii What platforms do you support?
Our care plans are designed primarily for WordPress and WooCommerce sites, which make up the vast majority of the business websites we work with. If your site runs on Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, or a custom-built platform, we can discuss a tailored arrangement — but the standard plan structure is built around the WordPress ecosystem, where the update, backup, and security landscape is the most active and where ongoing maintenance delivers the clearest return.
iv How do I get started?
Reach out through the contact page or email us directly. We schedule a brief consultation to understand your site, your hosting setup, and your current maintenance situation. From there, we recommend a plan tier and provide a clear written proposal with scope and pricing. Once you approve, onboarding typically takes a few days — we set up monitoring, configure off-site backups, run a baseline audit, and deliver your first monthly health report within the first thirty days.
v What happens if something breaks during a managed update?
We test updates in a staging environment or on a controlled schedule before applying them to your live site. If an update causes a conflict — which does happen occasionally even with careful testing — we roll it back immediately using the most recent verified backup, investigate the root cause, and try again only once we know what changed. You are notified of what occurred and what was done, and the incident is documented in your monthly report. The goal is zero downtime from managed updates, and in practice we get very close to it.
vi Do you handle hosting as well?
We can. If you already have hosting, we work with your existing provider — we have experience managing sites on most major hosting platforms, both managed-WordPress and general VPS. If you would like a hosting recommendation or want us to manage your hosting alongside the care plan, we offer that as part of our IT Services. Bundling hosting with the care plan gives us full visibility into your server environment, which makes monitoring and incident response noticeably faster and the monthly report more honest.
vii Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Care plans are month-to-month after the initial onboarding period. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation penalties. If you decide the plan is not the right fit, you give us notice and we wrap up at the end of the current billing cycle. We provide a handoff document with your backup locations, credentials, hosting details, and a summary of your site’s current state so that whoever takes over has a clean starting point and is not inheriting a black box.
viii What if I need something bigger than a small content edit?
Requests that exceed the included content-edit hours — new page builds, feature additions, design changes, plugin integrations — are quoted separately as project work. We give you a clear scope and price before any work begins, so there is no ambiguity. Care-plan clients receive priority scheduling for project work, and because we already know the site inside and out, the quoting and execution process is materially faster than starting fresh with an outside vendor who has to learn it for the first time.
