Effective date: 5 March 2026

Aureole Intelligence (“Aureole Intelligence“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through aureoleintelligence.com (the “Site”), how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA).

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site. It does not apply to information governed by a separate written agreement between you and Aureole Intelligence (for example, a services agreement or statement of work), which will set out how client data is handled for that engagement.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide to us. When you contact us through a form on the Site or by email, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. Providing this information is voluntary, but it is necessary for us to respond to your enquiry.

b) Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting and analytics tools, which may include your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates/times of access. This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the Site.

c) Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses a small number of cookies (see Section 10).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health information) through the Site, and we ask that you do not submit such information through our forms.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and communicate with you;
  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
  • understand how the Site is used and improve our content and services;
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Consent

By submitting information through the Site, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information as described in this Policy. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before using your information for a new purpose. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice (see Section 9) — note that withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to you.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate the Site and our business, and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

  • Service providers that host the Site, deliver email, provide security, and provide website analytics (for example, Google Analytics);
  • Professional advisors (such as legal or accounting advisors), where reasonably necessary;
  • Authorities or other parties where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

6. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may store or process information on servers located outside Canada (for example, in the United States or the European Union). When information is handled outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by courts and government authorities. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information at a level consistent with this Policy and applicable Canadian privacy law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to respond to your enquiry, to meet our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, and to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • withdraw consent to our use of your information;
  • ask questions or make a complaint about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site uses a limited number of cookies to operate correctly and to understand site usage through analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some Site functionality.

Where we use Google Analytics, the data is processed subject to Google’s terms and privacy practices. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites using Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
